What is explainable AI?

Explainable AI (XAI), also known as Interpretable AI, or Explainable Machine Learning (XML), is artificial intelligence (AI) in which humans can understand the reasoning behind decisions or predictions made by the AI1. It is an emerging area of research in the field of AI that can explain how AI obtained a particular solution (e.g., classification or object detection) and can also answer other "wh" questions! Interesting, right?!
